A warm timber cable car rises above converging rails, with a cool blue bay and a low island behind it. Cream-colored posts, dark glazing and a broad front lamp give the vehicle a clear shape among the trees and street edges. Hyde Street Cable Car and Bay turns that hill-and-water setting into an original San Francisco pixel-art picture you can make with square diamonds.
Follow the car toward the bay
The portrait puts the vehicle in the foreground and lets the descending street lead toward the water. Rust-colored roof planes and pale window framing contrast with darker glass. Rails widen below the running gear, while leafy street borders and distant buildings give the scene depth. The island remains supporting context rather than competing with the car.
Place context follows the SFMTA’s dated Hyde Street photo and article and Powell–Hyde route context for geographic research. This independently authored pixel-art interpretation has no official affiliation or endorsement.
One useful 40 × 50 cm portrait
The selected picture area is 40 × 50 cm, approximately 15.7 × 19.7 inches. Its native 161 × 201 pattern contains 32,361 square-diamond positions and 40 DMC colors, with full-drill coverage. This one portrait preserves the complete car, its rail relationship and the bay passage. Fine wood grain, reflections and distant marks remain a stylized pixel interpretation. Canvas margins are extra, outer-frame dimensions are unspecified and a frame is not included.
Build timber, glazing and water in sections
Begin with a pale post or a dark window edge if you like a firm boundary. Then work through the warmer body panels and cooler blue water. Smaller foliage clusters sit around the main forms. Align square diamonds in manageable sections and keep unused adhesive covered between sessions.
The kit includes the selected pattern printed on canvas, sorted square diamonds and tools, using the Pixelmade Square kit materials. The generic contents photograph describes the materials. The hands-on photograph shows another design as a technique example; it is not a finished Hyde Street sample.
What the protected views show
The cover presents the complete pattern as a digital diamond preview. The framing illustration shows the same 40 × 50 cm picture area. An enlarged local detail isolates pale timber window frames, dark glazing and the front lamp; it does not include the whole composition. The blank proportional guide describes this one picture area. Digital simulations are illustrative, and finished colors and sparkle can vary.
