A winding river leads through a steep canyon corridor, opening a route between dark, fluted rock walls. Warm ledges rise above the cooler inner gorge, so the square picture moves from a narrow water passage to a broader layered distance. Colorado River Inner Gorge is an original Grand Canyon interpretation with the river’s bends as its main visual path.

A river passage through dark walls

The channel changes direction as it passes the close cliffs. Its muted blue-green and olive notes separate it from the surrounding stone without making it a bright tropical stream. The nearer walls have broken vertical faces and reddish or pale seams; higher shelves change to more horizontal shapes. Distant mesas remain smaller and quieter, helping the viewer follow the gorge instead of treating every ledge as equally close.

The inspected National Park Service inner-gorge photograph supplied geographic and rock context. Its camera position and river mile were not provided and are not claimed here. The reference river is muddy brown; this artwork’s cooler water color is an authored scenic interpretation, not a statement about present river conditions. Make the 50 × 50 cm square

The selected picture area is 50 × 50 cm, approximately 19.7 × 19.7 in. The native 201 × 201 chart provides 40,401 square-diamond positions, using 40 DMC colors with full-drill coverage. The printed canvas extends beyond that decorated area. A frame is excluded; measure the finished work before selecting framing or display hardware.

Let the river guide your making

Beginning along a bend can give you a route into the composition. Fill one water section, then the adjacent dark wall, so the narrow passage emerges against the cliff. The close vertical rock texture offers a different making area from the horizontal ledges above. Working in small patches also lets you revisit the changing warm and cool faces as the depth develops.

The kit includes this pattern printed on canvas, sorted square diamonds, instructions and tools, using the Pixelmade Square kit materials. Six design-specific digital views retain this same selected square: the whole picture, a framing illustration, an enlarged river-and-wall detail, two approximately scaled room illustrations and a proportional size guide. The local detail follows several river bends and the adjacent cliff faces. Room props and frames are excluded. The depicted size refers to the picture area, with extra canvas margins outside it. Digital previews are illustrative; finished colors and sparkle can vary.
