About this design & full specifications

A male cardinal owns a snowy pine branch the way cardinals do — chest out, crest up, unbothered by winter. The design is built around the one color story everyone knows: that impossible red against snow. The body steps through three reds (shadow crimson, true cardinal, bright cap) so the bird rounds out instead of sitting flat, while the black mask and orange beak — maybe forty drills between them — snap the face into instant recognizability. Snow loads the branch in white with pale blue shadows, and oversized flakes drift through the muted background, each one a tidy little cluster you place like punctuation.
