Faces and eyes come first

Animal faces are charted with care where a filter would blur them: each eye gets its rim, iris and catch-light drill, so your pet still looks like your pet at arm's length.
Pet photo tips
Shoot at your pet's eye level with both eyes sharp. A slight head turn is fine.
Window light or open shade keeps fur colour true. Flash flattens fur and tints eyes.
Crop close so the face fills most of the picture. Phone photos are fine; send the original file, not a screenshot.

40×50 cm or larger. At that size an eye gets several drills, enough for a rim, an iris and a catch-light. Two or more pets need 50×50 cm or 50×60 cm so each face has room.
Yes, if they are in the same photo. Send one photo with both pets in it and choose 50×50 cm or larger. If you only have separate photos, tell us in the notes and your designer will say in the proof whether they fit together.
Tell us in the notes. Leashes, collars, clutter and busy backgrounds can be simplified or left out. Your proof shows exactly what will be printed before you approve.
Add it in the notes. Short names fit best. You will see the lettering in your proof before anything is printed.
Within 24 hours of your order, your design rep emails you 2–3 proofs: the real drill chart at canvas scale and a close-up at full size. Reply with the one you like, or tell us what to change. Nothing is printed until you approve.
We'll tell you and suggest a larger size or a different photo. If it still won't work, you get a full refund.
Round drills are quicker to place and forgiving, a good choice for a first kit. Square drills sit edge to edge for a crisper, fuller picture.
Production takes 2–4 business days after you approve, then about 12–16 days tracked to the US. US shipping is free on custom kits. For Christmas, order custom kits by November 24.
