A green sea turtle rows through turquoise water, flippers mid-stroke, with a salmon-and-violet coral shelf drifting past below. The shell is the design’s showpiece and its smartest chart decision: real scutes are already polygonal plates, so the chart just commits — each plate is a bold olive-and-amber shape with a dark seam, and placing them feels like assembling a mosaic inside the mosaic. Three pale diagonal bands cut through the water as light rays, an almost free detail that gives the whole canvas its underwater depth. The turquoise field fills in long serene runs (this is the closest thing the set has to a breathing exercise), while the coral and a few yellow fish hold all the warm accents at the bottom edge. Beach-house obvious, bathroom excellent, but it also belongs anywhere someone needs forty-five calm minutes a night. Of the launch set’s animal kits, this one has the most tranquil build arc from first drill to last.
The chart, measured
Every number on this page is read from this design’s actual manufacturing chart — the same
file the 106×106 symbol canvas is printed from — not estimated for marketing.

23 DMC colors over 11,236 drills makes this one of the richer trays in the catalog — expect more color changes and a more painterly finish. The workload skews teal: 3 of the 23 colors are teal steps, covering 58% of the canvas, with DMC 747 alone accounting for 25% (2,761 drills). 6 accent colors each cover under 1% of the canvas — small bags that carry the highlights, so keep them sorted.
